Today we had an awesome seminar on education. What is the purpose of education? What is school? Does school provide an education? What is a teacher? What do teachers add to the educational process? Add your thoughts & responses....

Education, I think is the responsibility of the student. A feel as though a teacher's minimal duty is to relay accurate information on the subject being taught. Anything other than that, ensuring that the student UNDERSTANDS, is a plus. Education is a privilege for underaged citizens in industrialized cities, that people tend to take for granted, or don't acknowledge at all. Given the privilege, a student must make the best use of their time to learn and comprehend the lessons and lectures that a teacher must teach. That is the role of the student. There are many kids (adults in their countries) in the world that would die for an opportunity to crack open a book and simply look at the pictures and colors. Knowing this, we can assume that if they were given the chance, they would do everything possible to better themselves. Education is more of a system that consists of teachers and students. Teachers relay the information, students use it to the best of their ability. It is an opportunity for one to better themselves and be greater in society.
